What is Dealbid?
Dealbid is a brand new, exciting auction website that lets users win some of the best bargain deals online! We auction away brand new, name-brand, high quality products at only a fraction of their retail cost. We do this by charging users a small fee for each bid placed, just $0.50-$.80 depending on the size of the Bid Pack you purchase, to support our extreme bargain prices. You will find completely ridiculous prices in all of our auctions that start at just $0.01 many with no reserve. How does it work?
With each bid placed, the price of the item increases by 1 penny. When a bid is placed in the last 60 seconds (or whatever time specified) we will reset the counter back up to 60 seconds, to give other users a chance of placing another bid during this time. If no-one else places a higher bid than yours, and the counter reaches zero, congratulations!

Bidding
To place a bid just click on the "Bid" button! It's as simple as that! This makes you the highest bidder. If the timer runs out before anyone else places a bid, you win the auction!

Also, you can try bidding for free as each of our new users gets 3 free bids as they sign up! In addition, you can refer your friends by our easy-to-use referral tools to sign up on our site to get 5 free bids per referred friend! Unfortunately, due to users setting up multiple accounts, the free bids only activate when a bid package is purchased.

Bidding with the Bid Butler

We think that watching the auction as your bids come in is part of the fun, but we also know that sometimes you need to drag yourself away from your computer. That's when the Bid Butler comes in handy. Just tell the Bid Buddy how many bids you want it to automatically place on behalf of you and it'll take care of the rest.

If no one else has bid on the auction, the Bid Butler will place a bid for you within the final seconds of the auction at a random time to make his bidding patterns very unpredictable. The countdown then resets, as it would for a normal bid, allowing other bidders to bid again if they want to. If no one places a higher bid after yours, you win the auction! After you've won the auction the bids that the Bid Butler didn't use are credited back to your Dealbid account.

Different auction types

Normal Auctions:

These auctions have a predetermined end time and go up by $.01. If bidders bid in the last 60seconds then the auction timer resets to 60 seconds. Bid butlers are allowed on this auction type.

Nail Bitter Auctions:

Similar to normal auctions in every aspect except no bid butlers are allows here. So you know you are bidding against a human in these auction types.

SHOWDOWN auctions:

These auctions are exclusive to Dealbid. In the last 20-60 seconds of a SHOWDOWN auction, a bid box will appear asking you to enter the final number of bids that you wish to enter. Once you enter you final number of bids, you will no longer be able to enter more bids for this auction. After the time expires, the person with the most bids placed will win the auction. This guarantees that the auction will end at the set time, so you know immediately if you win or lose.

Is DealBid a real auction?

Yes.

Dealbid is indeed an auction and not very different from other auction sites, as we only allow users to place a higher bid that is just one penny over that of the previous highest bidder. In order to prevent users from simply bidding thousands of times, thus quickly increasing our prices to that of normal auction sites, we charge a small fee for each bid placed. By charging this fee, we are also able to provide our users with the best prices to be found anywhere! Our goal is to be able to provide our auction winners with the best bargain deals on the internet!

Is this legal?

Yes, Dealbid follows all government legislation, and organizing auctions of this type is perfectly legal. We are a young and enthusiastic team who are open about everything and we are more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

We charge our members a service fee for every bid placed to cover the costs of running the website, providing the bargains and shipping out them to their doors. This allows us to provide an advertisement free platform and we never sell or rent any personal information about our customers to any third party.

Dealbid is not a lottery, nor is there any element of chance to the bidding process. If there is no bidder that is ready to pay a higher price than the current bid for an item, the item is won by the current highest bidder.

By only letting each bid be 1 penny higher than the last bid, and charging users a small fee for using the site to bid, we are able to keep the prices on our items so extremely low!

Troubleshooting

I've just won an auction! What now?

Firstly, congratulations - well done on winning the auction! You will be sent an automated e-mail with instructions on how to process the payment through our website.

Please make sure that you pay within 7 days of the end of the auction. We'll confirm your payment via e-mail and arrange for the item to be shipped to you. If the item hasn't arrived within 3 business days after you have submitted the payment, please contact us.

I can't place a bid / the site is running really slow / the counters aren't moving!

Don't download or stream any large files while bidding. Also, make sure there are no other computers in your network using your bandwidth and remember that we recommend closing all other network applications than your internet browser to avoid connection problems while you're bidding on Dealbid. We recommend that you bid a tleast 5 seconds before the timer reaches zero.

How do I change my password?

Please log onto Dealbid, then go to "Change Password" on the right hand column and enter your old and then new desired password.

I've forgot my password or user name!

Click on the "Forgot password" option next to the login box. Enter you email and we will email you with your username and password.
